AbleCare has group homes and AFL’s (Alternative Family Living).

A group home is a home where 2-4 individuals live. Each of those individuals receives 24 hours services and supports. Multiple Staff rotates in 8 hour shifts per 24 hours.

An AFL is when an identified Person or Family opens their personal home and invites an individual that requires services and supports to live with them. The "primary staff" is the home owner. The benefit is fewer staff interpreting the Person Centered Plan to allow for more consistent service delivery in this type of therapeutic setting.
